The Underground Sound Ezine was the second in the family of Underground Sound publications, the first being the printzine verson I did in the 1980's. The Ezine was a text only version that I sent to email accounts, which in 1993 when I started doing the emailed ezine most people did not have accounts that could receive and display html, so straight text was the way it went out. Later when I put the ezine on a webpage I added html to the formatting, but for the majority of the emailed issues they remained straight text. Not long after I started the email ezine I began doing the html webzine, the email ezine was supposed to be a compilation of news and information that also promoted the webzine, which is still around today. In the early millenium, the ezine was discontinued so I could focus on fewer side projects, meaning the 7 online zines I did were paired down to one, which is The Underground Sound webzine.
