Underground Records is set up to develop new talent for larger labels and distributors. The goal is for myself to sign a development deal with a larger label, and then to bring that label between 3-5 good artists per year, which the label would then sign a recording and distribution contract with. After bringing the artist to the label in an A&R position, I would then work with the label and it's distributors to further the artist's recordings, marketing and sales progress. By using this described A&R development program, the results would be beneficial for the artist, the signing label, and for Underground Records to become a viable business and recording label on it's own outside or in conjunction with the development program. Ultimately, the goal is for Underground Records to function as an independent label and market developer for one or multiple larger labels and distributors. I am open to suggestions and contract offerings that would help reach these goals. Currently, I am seeking Open Source Software developers to build the next online music experience. Something like a branded Peer-to-Peer that would allow independent store build out, and excellent content control. Get in touch if that is you.
