Hello again everyone, I just
wanted to let you
know that we had 36 new
t-shirts designs come in on friday and I finally got them
posted to the
site. Pretty cool designs this time, especially the ones
from Berkeley
Road. Come on over and look under t-shirts on our site and
don't forget
to hit the button at the bottem of the t-shirt page to see
even more designs.
I don't think you'll be disappointed! Also, we added a new
feature where
you can have 10 different catalogs emailed to you. This is
a great way
to check us out offline!
All the new t-shirt designs are listed in the t-shirt catalog too, so please feel free to use this option if you're short of time. I hope everything is good in your neck of the woods... Thanks and take care...

C&D Music News: D.J. Lauria Band is showcasing at the Philadelphia Music Conference on Friday, November 7th! This is one of the industry's biggest gatherings, with A&R weasels flying in from all over the country for free food. (No offense to any weasels on this particular list...) If you happen to be in the area please come by and say hello.
Sales of Black & White's "Hepcat" have been extremely good. The band's CD Release Party (with guitar great Ronnie Earl) held at The Call a few weeks ago, was mobbed. We think it has to do with drummer Don DiMuccio's new hairpiece.
Q are still in the studio. We think. If you happen to be a member of Q, please call your record company! We miss Q!
C&D has a booth at the NACA New England
convention this
weekend (11/7-9.) We'll be featuring all our bands, giving
away cassettes,
and letting the
kids take Polaroids of themselves with our life-size
"Homey the Clown."

*** Dead doctors killed Mexican drug lord - officials
Three doctors whose tortured bodies were found embedded in cement killed Mexico's top drug lord during plastic surgery, officials said.
Although the circumstances of cocaine capo Amado Carrillo Fuentes's death in July hinted at foul play, the announcement Thursday marked the first time officials said the drug lord was murdered. The doctors were presumably killed in revenge.
According to Mariano Herran, the head of Mexico's anti-drug agency, the doctors killed the Juarez cartel leader with a lethal injection of a sedative July 5 as he recovered from plastic surgery to alter his appearance.

Frankenstein Symphony - Francis Dhomont
Street Date: October 28th Frankenstein Symphony - assembled by Francis Dhomont CD on ASPHODEL/SOMBIENT
Includes work by the following composers: BOUHALASSA Ned, BURTON Alexandre, CALON Christian, DAOUST Yves, DHOMONT Francis, DUFORT Louis, FORTIN Luc, FRIGON Michel, GOBEIL Gilles JEAN Monique, LEDUC Daniel, MADAN Emmanuel, NORMANDEAU Robert, RODRIGUE Mario, ROY Stephane, SCHRYER Claude, SMITH Michel, TAMAYO Claudia, TETREAULT Martin, TRUDEL Pascale, TURCOTTE Roxanne, VANDE GORNE Annette
"A hybrid thing in four movements, made of cut-up pieces, pasted, assembled, sowed parts that are alike and contrasted, and that I have named, obviously, the Frankenstein Symphony: an unusual electroacoustic adventure.
Armed with a scalpel and a splicing (operational) block, I sampled several morphological organs from the works of 22 composers and friends (many of which were students of mine), and with their imprudent blessings (on a stormy night?), brought to life this little acousmatic monster which I hold particularly close to my heart.
The elements were chosen amongst the works according to their typo-morphological affinities or contrasts, and with formal considerations in mind. Though I often allowed myself to play layering games, mixing works together (as with E.Madan, D. Leduc, A. Vande Gorne and myself), never did I use filtering, internal editing, transpositions or processing on the sounds.
In short, I had a great time, and hope that the legitimate parents of this child will survive the delirium of this mad scientist, and will enjoy it as much as I did. In fact, there are, here and there, some meetings, dialogues and counterpoints among the excerpts that are so obvious that one can't help but wonder why some composers didn't work together...
In the end, this is only a game, with no other goal than to bring to light how astonishingly rich acousmatic music can be. Yet, more than recycling, it's first and foremost an homage to the inventiveness of these composers".
